Kuehne+Nagel France equips its entire fleet of trucks with the Trimble telematics solution

Written by Fabien Dusserre | Mar 18 2021

Kuehne+Nagel, one of the world’s leading transport and logistics companies, is equipping its fleet of trucks with the Trimble Transport & Logistics telematics solution in order to reduce CO2 emissions.

The partnership between the two companies has gradually evolved over the course of several months. A test phase was conducted in 2020, at the height of the global health crisis, and the results met all expectations. This test period confirmed Kuehne+Nagel France’s decision to opt for the Trimble devices, which were then installed in its entire fleet of 1,100 vehicles in early 2021.

The goal: Net Zero Carbon

With the installation of this solution, Kuehne+Nagel aims to collect data to strengthen its eco-driving policy jointly with the drivers, which should help the company to reduce its CO2 emissions by 4% in the first year and by 2.5% in subsequent years.

Simon Gauvry, Head of QSHE at Kuehne+Nagel France, explains the company’s decision:

“We chose the Trimble solution for its proven track record in the field of eco-driving and because the test phase demonstrated that it was able to deliver high-quality analyses of the available data. The implementation of the solution is part of our Net Zero Carbon plan: Kuehne+Nagel is committed to carbon neutrality, and this telematics solution contributes to reducing our footprint.”

Using digital technology for training

Kuehne+Nagel uses Trimble’s digital interface to get real-time feedback from the field to further improve driver training. This new tool allows for more targeted training and more environmentally friendly driving.

Fabien Dusserre, Managing Director of Trimble France, adds:

“We are delighted that this major project with Kuehne+Nagel is progressing so well. Its success confirms the maturity of our offering for large corporate customers. Our solution will help Kuehne+Nagel to achieve its goal of carbon neutrality in a sustainable manner.”
